Education and Research Council
Education and Research Council (ERC) focuses on advancing quality, innovation, and inclusivity in education and research across disciplines. The Council promotes collaboration among educators, researchers, policymakers, and academic institutions to foster best practices in teaching, curriculum development, and knowledge exchange. It supports research dissemination, academic partnerships, and initiatives that contribute to evidence-based policymaking and educational advancement. To ensure effective outreach and impact from the local to the global level, the Council shall function at the International, National, State, and District levels.
Education and Research Council has been established to achieve the following objectives:
- To promote excellence, innovation, inclusiveness, and quality in education at all levels.
- To strengthen research capacity and promote high-quality, ethical, interdisciplinary, and socially relevant research.
- To facilitate national and international collaboration among educators, researchers, scholars, institutions, industry, and other knowledge partners.
- To organise conferences, seminars, workshops, FDPs, research programmes, training programmes, and other academic initiatives.
- To encourage student research, innovation, entrepreneurship, fellowships, scholarships, and academic development.
- To promote emerging pedagogies, digital learning, educational technology, and responsible use of artificial intelligence in education and research.
- To facilitate research publications, collaborative projects, knowledge resources, and dissemination of research findings.
- To strengthen academia–industry engagement and promote research and education initiatives addressing real-world challenges.
- To promote internationalisation, academic mobility, global knowledge exchange, and cross-border research collaboration.
- To encourage research and educational initiatives contributing to sustainable development, social inclusion, and community well-being.
- To recognise and encourage excellence in education, teaching, research, and academic leadership through appropriate awards, fellowships, grants, and other initiatives.
- To undertake such other academic, research, and knowledge-development initiatives as may contribute to the vision, mission, and objectives of IFERD.
Education and Research Council may constitute domain-specific committees across major academic disciplines. These committees shall undertake activities related to research, academic development, capacity building, collaborations, and knowledge dissemination within their respective domains. The following committees have been constituted at present:
