Student Chapters
Student Chapters shall provide a dynamic platform for students to engage in academic, professional, and social development activities. The key benefits shall include opportunities for leadership development; facilitation of skill-building workshops and training programs; exposure to academia, industry, and research; networking and collaboration opportunities; encouragement of innovation and entrepreneurship; and engagement in social and community development activities.
Any university or higher education institution (public or private) may establish a Student Chapter, provided that a minimum of 40 students are enrolled as IFERD Student Members. The membership shall be multidisciplinary in nature, comprising approximately 30% from commerce and management, 30% from science and technology, and 40% from social sciences and humanities. Each Student Chapter shall be mentored by at least one Faculty Advisor. A Student Chapter shall be established within a university or institution for a maximum term of two (2) years, subject to renewal. During this period, no other Student Chapter shall be established within a radius of 100 km from the host institution.The leadership team of the Student Chapter shall be constituted by the host institution and duly communicated to the IFERD Secretariat through appropriate channels by the concerned Faculty Advisor.
A Higher Secondary School may also establish an IFERD Student Chapter, provided that a minimum of thirty (30) students from the institution are enrolled as IFERD Student Members. The membership shall be drawn from diverse classes and academic streams, with a proportion of approximately 40:60 from secondary and senior secondary levels, respectively, and with an appropriate mix of students from science, arts, and commerce. Each Student Chapter shall be mentored by at least one Teacher Advisor. A Student Chapter shall be established within a school for a maximum term of two (2) years, subject to renewal. During this period, no other Student Chapter shall be established within a radius of 100 km from the host institution.The leadership team of the Student Chapter shall be constituted by the host school and duly communicated to the IFERD Secretariat through appropriate channels by the concerned Teacher Advisor.
