Affiliate Membership
Affiliate Membership is a distinct category of membership offered by IFERD for individuals, institutions, and organizations who wish to associate with the Federation and contribute to its vision of advancing education, research, and social development. This category is ideal for those who wish to engage with IFERD’s initiatives without the statutory and governance obligations associated with ordinary membership. Affiliate Members shall not possess voting rights in the IFERD Assembly, although they may participate in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) as observers or invitees. Their rights, privileges, and responsibilities shall be determined by the policies and regulations framed by the IFERD Assembly.
IFERD offers Affiliate Membership under following six categories:
- Institutional Membership
- Corporate Membership
- Fellow Membership
- Associate Membership
- Primary Membership
- Student Membership
Institutional Membership is open to higher education institutions, professional bodies, schools, and training institutes. Non-corporate organizations may also apply under this category. Institutional Membership is granted as a lifetime membership. Applicants seeking Institutional Membership must adhere to the requirement of obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) duly endorsed by the head of their respective institution or organization, along with the seal. This is a mandatory step in the application process.
Corporate membership is open to business entities and corporate houses willing to support the vision and mission of IFERD. Corporate Membership is granted as a lifetime membership. Representatives of corporate organizations seeking Corporate Membership must adhere to the requirement of obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) duly endorsed by the authorized person of their respective organization, along with the seal. This is a mandatory step in the application process.
Fellow Membership is open to individuals from industry or academia who have fifteen (15) or more years of professional experience in their respective fields of expertise. It is the highest category of individual membership within IFERD and granted for a lifetime.
Associate Membership is open to individuals from industry or academia who have ten (10) or more years of professional experience in their respective fields of expertise. It is granted for lifetime. Members may upgrade their membership to Fellow Membership in accordance with the policies and eligibility criteria prescribed by IFERD.
Primary Membership is open to individuals aged twenty-one (21) years and above who wish to associate with the Federation. This membership shall be granted for a lifetime, subject to eligibility for upgradation to Associate or Fellow Membership in accordance with the policies of IFERD.
Student Membership is open to research scholars and students enrolled in higher education institutions, senior secondary schools, or secondary schools who wish to engage with the activities and initiatives of IFERD.
Benefits for Individual Members
Individual Affiliate Members shall have access to opportunities for connecting and collaborating with academicians, researchers, professionals, industry experts, policymakers, institutions, corporate, and non-profit organizations through the professional network of IFERD. They shall be eligible to participate in conferences, summits, seminars, workshops, webinars, and other academic and professional programs organized or supported by the Federation. Affiliate Members may also serve as resource persons, speakers, panelists, or contributors in events and knowledge-sharing initiatives organized or endorsed by IFERD. Individual Affiliate Members shall further be eligible for nominations to awards, fellowships, scholarships, grants, and other recognitions instituted by IFERD, subject to the applicable criteria and regulations. They shall have opportunities to publish articles, books, research papers, working papers, and other scholarly contributions through platforms, journals, or publications supported by the Federation. In addition, they shall have access to professional development initiatives, including mentorship programs, leadership development activities, and capacity-building opportunities organized by IFERD. Individual Members may also participate in outreach, volunteer, and community development initiatives undertaken by the Federation in the fields of education, research, and social welfare. Subject to the policies and regulations of IFERD, they may be considered for service in IFERD Councils, Chapters, Committees, or advisory bodies. They shall also have opportunities to engage in national and international collaborations, exchange programs, and global forums facilitated by the Federation.
Benefits for Institutional Members
Institutional Affiliate Members shall be entitled to representation in IFERD Councils, Committees, and advisory bodies in accordance with the policies and regulations of the Federation. They shall have opportunities to collaborate in social development and community outreach initiatives undertaken by IFERD and to engage with universities, research institutions, corporate entities, government agencies, and civil society organizations through the professional network of the Federation. Institutional Affiliate Members shall also be eligible to participate in and host conferences, summits, seminars, conclaves, workshops, and training programs organized or supported by IFERD. They may nominate faculty members, researchers, or administrators to serve as resource persons, speakers, panelists, or contributors in academic and professional events organized or endorsed by the Federation. In addition, such members shall be eligible for nominations to IFERD awards and other recognitions instituted for contributions in education, research, innovation, and social development. The Federation shall further provide Institutional Affiliate Members with opportunities to facilitate student engagement through internships, skill development programs, research initiatives, and international academic exposure programs supported by IFERD. They shall also have access to capacity-building and professional development initiatives, including faculty development programs, curriculum enhancement workshops, and leadership training activities. Subject to the policies and approval of IFERD, Institutional Affiliate Members may also establish IFERD Chapters, including Student Chapters, within their institutions.
Benefits for Corporate Members
Corporate Affiliate Members shall have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with educational institutions, research organizations, and policy making institutions through IFERD in promoting industry-academia engagement and innovation-driven partnerships. They shall be eligible to participate in, sponsor, or co-host conferences, summits, seminars, workshops, and other professional programs organized or supported by the Federation. Corporate Affiliate Members shall also have opportunities to enhance their organizational visibility and representation through participation in IFERD events, publications, and professional platforms. Such members may nominate executives, professionals, or domain experts to serve as resource persons, speakers, panelists, or contributors in IFERD programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives. They shall further have opportunities to collaborate with IFERD in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and social development programs aligned with education, research, innovation, and community development. Corporate Affiliate Members shall also have access to research forums, policy dialogue platforms, and innovation initiatives facilitated by the Federation. In addition, Corporate Affiliate Members shall have opportunities to engage with academic institutions and students through internships, training programs, skill development initiatives, and recruitment interfaces facilitated by IFERD. They shall be eligible for nominations to IFERD awards and other recognitions instituted for excellence in business, industry innovation, organizational culture, and social welfare. Subject to the policies and regulations of the Federation, Corporate Affiliate Members may also be represented in IFERD Councils, Committees, or Advisory Board and may engage in collaborative research, joint publications, policy initiatives, and innovation-driven programs facilitated by IFERD.
